I decided to draw some of the most prominent black activists throughout African American history in honor of Black History Month. One of them being W.E.B. Du Bois. The Souls of Black Folk is one of the most enticing of American literature that inspired me to self-reflect on the idea of "double-consciousness" within myself and the black community in New Orleans and the entire United States.
